Basically, when you are doing a managed print engagement with a client like we do, the first priority is to help the client know where all the printers are, what the printers are doing, and what those printers cost. 

You really can't know what you are saving (if you are saving anything) without a proper baseline. A baseline does not mean last year we spent X, and this year we spent Y, and Y is less than X, so we did a good job. 

Companies merge, employees are added, and the amount of printing within an organization is never static. Taking the approach of reducing X doesn't really optimize a printer fleet. There are ways to manipulate this. 

When doing managed print, it is all about proper utilization as well as measuring the effective per-print cost, which can be compared to give an idea of costs going up or down. There is much more to managed print for your Little Rock business, but this is always a great place to start.
